Next Tuesday 22 July at 14:30, in the framework of the Euroscience Open Forum (ESOF 2008), the session ‘Doping and society: towards the perfect human machine?’ will be held, organised by Dr Jordi Segura, director of the Anti-doping Laboratory of the Municipal Institute of Medical Research (IMIM-Hospital del Mar) in Barcelona and member of the Medical Commission Games Group of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

More than 3,000 scientists from all disciplines, politicians and businessmen will participate in 112 conferences and debates with 430 speakers. 20,000 visitors are expected for more than 70 expositions and public events for young people and families. These are some of the figures expected for the third meeting of the multidisciplinary, transverse ESOF2008, EuroScience Open Forum, organised by EuroScience and the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation (FCRI).
