Project title:

Technical support to the Biobank.

Research group / Service:

MARBiobanc

Description:

The selected person will join the MARBiobanc (Scientific and technical support Program).

Task:

Microtomy techniques, cell separation, cell cryopreservation, manual and automated nucleic acid extraction. Quantification of nucleic acids by spectrophotometry and fluorimetry, and quality control of DNA using the PCR technique. Inventory of samples in freezers or block archives. Support for biobank coordination.

Formation:

Higher Technical Certificate in Pathological Anatomy and Cytodiagnosis or Technical in Laboratory and Clinical Analysis or similar. Basic knowledge of molecular biology will be valued.

Experience:

Minimum one year experience in microtomy techniques and nucleic acid extraction.

Knowledge:

Intermediate knowledge of Office package, basic understanding of ISO standards and good laboratory practices. High level in Catalan and Spanish. Knowledge of English.

Additional information:

Autonomy in the laboratory and proactivity are required.

Contract:

Eventual 14p.
