Description:

The selected person will join the Artificial Intelligence and Data in Health (Biomedical informatics research program).

Task:

Design and maintain reproducible pipelines for quality control, normalization, annotation, and harmonization of biomedical data. Analyze genomic, transcriptomic, single-cell, spatial transcriptomic, and tumor microbiome data. Integrate omics, clinical, and experimental data using statistical methods, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Develop and validate predictive models of therapeutic response, recurrence, and disease-free survival in hepatocellular carcinoma. Apply explainable artificial intelligence techniques to identify variables and biological mechanisms associated with predictions. Participate in the computational analysis of histopathological and radiological images, as well as their integration with clinical and molecular data. Identify biomarkers, molecular pathways, and mechanisms of response or resistance to atezolizumab, bevacizumab, and personalized vaccines. Contribute to the prioritization of therapeutic targets and the computational analysis of compounds identified in preclinical studies. Ensure traceability, interoperability, and data and result reuse in accordance with FAIR principles and data protection requirements. Collaborate with clinical and experimental teams of the consortium and contribute to the preparation of reports, publications, presentations, and project follow-up meetings.

Formation:

PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Life Sciences, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields.

Experience:

Research experience, preferably postdoctoral, in omics and biomedical data analysis, design of reproducible pipelines, and application of statistical or machine learning methods. Experience in oncology, immunotherapy, and biomedical image analysis will be valued.

Knowledge:

Proficiency in R and/or Python and Linux environments; knowledge of multi-omic integration, artificial intelligence, and FAIR principles; advanced level of English; autonomy, scientific rigor, and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
