Description:

The selected person will join the Epidemiology and evaluation research group (Epidemiology and public health research program).

Task:

Perform statistical analyses to evaluate the impact of screening on cancer mortality, among others. Will be responsible for data analysis and presentation of research results, aimed at the publication of scientific articles. Creation, debugging and restructuring of databases. Validation of the data collected.

Formation:

Master's degree in Biostatistics.

Experience:

Previous experience in supporting research projects, especially in the management of large databases and statistical analysis, preferably in the field of epidemiology and public health.

Knowledge:

Experience is required, preferably in the management of large databases. Knowledge of R, SQL, Phyton and advanced statistical packages. It will be valued: - Participation in research projects in the field of health sciences, especially in cohort and case-control studies and knowledge on cancer screening programs - Experience in the development of analytical projects: preparation and validation of data, statistical analysis, presentation of results. - Knowledge of longitudinal data analysis - Proficiency in various statistical and data analysis programs: SQL, Phyton, R and/or other programs. - Computer skills: Database management and debugging, spreadsheets, etc. - Knowledge of English.

Additional information:

Training with specialization in biostatistics is an asset. Ability to work as part of a team and discussion skills. Resolving capacity and autonomy. The cost of the contract is subsidized by the Carlos III Health Institute.
