Dr Arnau Busquets elected to the Executive Committee of the European Brain and Behaviour Society

He was elected in a vote held last May and officially joined the committee on 13 July.

Dr Arnau Busquets, coordinator of the Cellular Mechanisms in Physiological and Pathological Behaviour Research Group at the Hospital del Mar Research Institute (HMRIB), has been elected to the Executive Committee of the European Brain and Behaviour Society (EBBS), the governing body of one of Europe's leading scientific societies dedicated to research on animal models and behaviour. The election took place on 21 May.

Dr Busquets will serve on the committee until 2029 as one of its seven Ordinary Members. Together with the President, President-Elect, Secretary and Treasurer, the Ordinary Members form the governing body of the EBBS.

In the same election, Dr Cristina Márquez, from the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology in Coimbra, Portugal, was elected President of the Society.
